Dubai is known as the largest city in the United Arab Emirates. Also, it's one of the most prosperous of the seven emirates. Dubai is where big businesses usually take place. Moreover, the city has a lot of towers, ports, and beaches. On this list, we will be showing some of the famous Dubai attractions that break the records and will sweep you off your feet.
Burj Khalifa
Topping our list for the most famous Dubai attractions is the Burj Khalifa. Also recognised as the world’s tallest building with a height of 829.8 meters, it is a popular point of interest in the city. One of the things you can do here is a trip to the observation deck on the 124th floor. From there, you'll get to see the vast city from a bird's-eye view. Also, this place is very popular with photographers during nighttime because of the city lights panoramas.
Burj Al-Arab
Next on our list is the Burj Al-Arab, a five-star hotel located in the city. Also known as the Tower of the Arabs, its height reaches at 321 meters high from its artificial sand from Jumeirah Beach that connects to the mainland by a private bridge. This Dubai attraction resembles a sail of a ship. Moreover, for those who want a new fine-dining experience, you should definitely go to the underwater Al-Mahara Restaurant. This restaurant consists of floor-to-ceiling glass panels that allow you to take a glimpse of underwater sea life while eating.
Dubai Frame
This 150-meter tall picture frame is one of the most iconic Dubai attractions present in the city. The world’s largest picture frame also serves as a landmark that celebrates Dubai's history. If you look closely, you’ll see that it connects the old Dubai to the present Dubai that we all know today. One of the things you can do here is travelling up to the Sky Deck which gives you the bird’s-eye view of the city. Also, you'll capture the old Dubai and the present Dubai all in one picture-perfect panoramic view.
Dubai Museum
Our list for Dubai attractions wouldn't be complete without some history. The Dubai Museum is located in the Al-Fahidi Fort and was built back in 1787 where it served as a residence for the ruling family and a defence fort. In 1971, it reopened as an official museum that displays the history of Dubai. Here, you'll find various artefacts found in the Al Qusais archaeological site. Moreover, you'll get to see traditional boats, weaponry, and dioramas of the old Emirati life.
Al Bastakiya
Also known as the Al-Fahidi neighbourhood, this area holds the memories of the old Dubai. Some of us may know Dubai as a city of high-rise buildings and 5-star hotels. However, only a few may have an idea what it looked like during its old days. This neighbourhood may give a hint as it is the oldest standing residential area in Dubai. From winding alleyways to coloured buildings made up of mud, gypsum, and palm wood, most of the buildings you'll find here are hotels, cafes, and galleries. In other words, this Dubai attraction is worth exploring.
